If you’ve been following Martynas Levickis on Facebook and Twitter, you will have seen that we’ve been planning something very special to celebrate World Accordion Day on 6 May.

Martynas teamed up with awesome young artist Jolita Vaitkutė to create a portrait of him from the thousands of parts that make up two accordions. The portrait is made from two well-used but old and no longer playable instruments. We love this idea of transforming recycled materials into something new and it’s amazing to see all the different components that go into an accordion!

We’ve had a great time working on this project. As a treat for Martynas Levickis mailing list followers, we’re currently giving away 50 *limited edition t-shirts* printed with an image of this new piece of art on them!

Anyone that is signed up to Martynas Levickis’ mailing list by World Accordion Day on Friday 6 May will be in with an opportunity to win a limited edition printed t-shirt. Martynas will randomly pick names from all the mailing list subscribers and then we’ll email you to let you know if you’ve won a prize!
